Rolanda Hawkins

Program Specialist

Ms. Rolanda Hawkins has several years of experience in grants, cooperative agreements, and contracts in the administrative and program arena of NCI. Ms. Hawkins joined CTEP in 1990 as a Technical Assistant for grants and contracts and has been working in the Clinical Grants and Contracts Branch (CGCB) since its inception. She is a Program Specialist and provides significant technical and administrative support associated with the planning and administration for grants, cooperative agreements and the clinical trials networks. She serves as the backup to the senior program analyst for the grants and cooperative agreements portfolio.

Prior to joining CTEP, Ms. Hawkins was employed as a Grants Technical Assistant in the Grants Administration Branch (now known as the Office of Grants Administration) at the National Cancer Institute, the focal point for all business-related activities associated with the negotiation, award, administration of grants and cooperative agreements. Ms. Hawkins has also worked for the Library of Congress in Washington, DC.

Ms. Hawkins graduated with honors from the University of the District of Columbia in 1992 with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Management.

About the Branch Chief

Lori A. Henderson, PhD Lori A. Henderson, PhD, is the Chief for the Clinical Grants and Contracts Branch. As Chief, she is responsible for planning, coordinating, advising, and evaluating programmatic activities in CGCB's portfolio of clinical trials and research programs and supervises Program Directors who oversee several cancer-specific disease areas. Lori continues to serve as a Program Director managing CGCB's hematology-oncology portfolio in addition to her substantial involvement in the management of the BMTCTN, CIBMTR, CCSS, and the PXDNET 2.0 initiative currently.
