Patricia R. Schettino holds BS (Pharmacy) and MS (Hospital Pharmacy Administration) degrees from Purdue University.

Her experiences prior to coming to CTEP included a variety of positions in three very different settings: community not-for-profit hospital pharmacy, the Clinical Center Pharmacy of the National Institutes of Health, and the Bethesda Naval Hospital Oncology Clinic.

As a long term CTEP employee she has experience in many areas including:

  • All aspects of oncologic investigational pharmacy activities
  • Infomatics for both internal and external systems
  • Creation and review of protocol templates
  • Manager of agent supplies, logistics, and distribution for large randomized double blinded clinical trials
  • Creation of SOPs and Policy and Guideline documents
  • Investigational agent development including product labeling, end user stability testing, shelf life testing, preparation of pharmaceutical data sheets, provision of agent information, protocol and amendment review, and inventory management
  • Supervision of the PMB professional staff
  • Service as a member or chair of multiple, diverse, Technical Evaluation Panels
  • Service as Project Officer for repository and PMB-support contracts
  • Service on the United States Military Cancer Institute Institutional Review Board
