Vikram Devgan, Ph.D., MBA

Vikram Devgan, Ph.D., MBA. joined the National Cancer Institute in 2016 as a Chief of Clinical Grants and Contracts Branch of the Cancer Therapy Evaluation Program (CTEP), Division of Cancer Treatment and Diagnosis. From 2006 to 2016, Dr. Devgan held positions of increasing responsibilities with QIAGEN Inc., rising to Head of the Center of Excellence for Biological Research Content. Dr. Devgan has extensive experience in precision medicine, particularly next generation sequencing (NGS). Dr. Devgan received his Ph.D. degree in molecular and cellular biology and conducted post-doctoral research at the Harvard Medical School, Massachusetts. He also holds MBA in Business Integration from the University of Wurzburg, Germany.

Dr. Devgan is an accomplished leader and technology evangelist. At the NCI, Dr. Devgan leads an eight member team of Program Directors, Program Analysts and Administrative Support Assistants in administering, on average, 300 active grants, contracts and cooperative agreements at an average total funded level of $300 million and oversees portfolio concentrated in the areas of clinical oncology, surgical oncology and pharmacogenomics.
