Elise C. Kohn, MD
Head, Gynecologic Cancer Therapeutics
Dr. Kohn is a graduate of the University of Michigan Medical School where she also completed residency training in Internal Medicine; she trained in medical oncology at the National Cancer Institute. Dr. Kohn spent over two decades overseeing a laboratory and clinical program in the NCI intramural program focused on signal transduction molecular targets in invasion and angiogenesis in and proteomic applications to ovarian cancer. She has recently taken her translational oncology experience to become the Head, Gynecologic Cancer Therapeutics in the extramural program, where she coordinates development and execution of the advanced phase 2 and the phase 3 gynecologic cancer clinical trials portfolio.
Dr. Kohn serves on numerous NIH and NCI committees. She serves SGO and ASCO Education Committees, and recently completed a tour on the integration panel of the Department of Defense Ovarian Cancer Research Program, on which she served two years as panel chair. Dr. Kohn has received the Ovarian Cancer National Alliance’s Rosalind Franklin Excellence in Ovarian Cancer Research Award, NIH Director’s Merit Awards, and Diversity and Mentoring Awards, and recently the Belinda Sue Foundation Award for Ovarian Cancer Research. Dr. Kohn was elected a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science in 2002.

Meg Mooney, MD, MBA is the Chief of the Clinical Investigations Branch (CIB) of the Cancer Therapy Evaluation Program (CTEP), Division of Cancer Treatment and Diagnosis, at the NCI and oversees adult sarcoma cancer therapeutics.
