Carmen Allegra, MD

Head — GI Cancer Therapeutics

Dr. Carmen Allegra joined the Clinical Investigations Branch (CIB), CTEP, DCTD in April 2016 to provide expertise and oversight of the GI cancers clinical trials portfolio under an interagency agreement between NCI and the University of Florida Health where he is Chief of Oncology and Hematology, Department of Medicine. Dr. Allegra is well known to the NCI community and is the former GI Disease Committee Chair for the NRG Oncology Group.

Dr. Allegra is dividing his time between his responsibilities at the University of Florida Health and NCI/CTEP. He is working with Dr. Bhupinder Mann and Dr. Meg Mooney as he transitions to his new responsibilities at CTEP.

Meg Mooney, MD Meg Mooney, MD, MBA is the Chief of the Clinical Investigations Branch (CIB) of the Cancer Therapy Evaluation Program (CTEP), Division of Cancer Treatment and Diagnosis, at the NCI and oversees adult sarcoma cancer therapeutics.
