Tissue/Blood Based Biomarkers Resources and Guidelines
- NCI Best Practices for Biospecimen Resources
The Biorepositories and Biospecimen Research Branch of DCTD's Cancer Diagnosis Program maintains this Best Practices guide (updated 2016) with recommendations and guiding principles to promote consistency and standardization across biospecimen resources. - NCI Clinical Proteomic Technologies/Reagents & Resources
The CPTAC Assay Portal serves as a centralized public repository of "fit-for-purpose," multiplexed quantitative mass spectrometry-based proteomic targeted assays. - Clinical Pharmacodynamic Biomarker Assays
Pharmacodynamic (PD) Biomarker Assays developed by the DCTD Clinical Pharmacodynamic Program (CPP) are intended to investigate drug and downstream drug-induced effects. Validated biomarker assays are available to the scientific community through either the National Clinical Laboratory Network (NCLN) or CPP's on-site training and critical reagent support. - Protocol Development Resources for Ancillary/Correlative and Biomarker Studies
Imaging Based Biomarkers Resources and Guidelines
- Quantitative Imaging Biomarkers Alliance® (QIBA)
An initiative of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), QIBA aims to unite researchers, healthcare professionals and industry partners to advance quantitative imaging and the use of imaging biomarkers in clinical trials and clinical practice.
General Biomarker Resources and Guidelines
- The Biomarkers Consortium
A program of the Foundation for the National Institutes of Health (FNIH), the Biomarkers Consortium is a collaboration between agency and private partners to support the discovery and development of biomarkers in support of drug development and regulatory decision-making. - Association for Molecular Pathology (AMP)
AMP provides several resources including the sAMPle Exchange Community and a collection of validation guidelines and best practices.
