Senior Clinical Research Pharmacist

Dr. Kem came to CTEP in 2004 and was responsible for an agent portfolio used in open-label trials. She developed the Patient/Caregiver Ad Hoc Education template to help mitigate risk hazards when compounding hazardous drugs in home settings.

After receiving a Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from Xavier University of Louisiana, Dr. Kem worked as a staff pharmacist at the George Washington Hospital in Washington, DC, and was responsible for patient counseling and reviewing patients’ charts for potential drug interactions. A few years later, she went to the Georgetown University Medical Center, to oversee all IV and TPN preparations and compounding, and to assist nutritionists in assessing and evaluating nutrition requirements to optimize patient care. From 1998 to 1999, she became the operational manager of the oncology pharmacy satellite in the Lombardi Cancer Center, after helping to expand and develop it. Dr. Kem received a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Florida, Gainesville, and a Master’s in Public Health at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health.

Charles Hall, MBA, RPh Mr. Hall received his undergraduate pharmacy degree from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy in 1975. He was awarded a Master of Science in Business Organizational Management from the University of LaVerne, California in 1991.
