Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q: How do I open an ETCTN study at my site?
A: Step-by-step checklists are available to guide both coordinating centers and participating sites in opening ETCTN trials. More information can be found on the Information and Checklists page, as well as in the ETCTN Program Guidelines.
Q: How do I enroll patients on my trial?
A: Patients are enrolled on ETCTN trials through the Oncology Patient Enrollment Network (OPEN). In order to access OPEN, you will first need a CTEP-IAM account. If you do not have one, access the CTEP-IAM website and click on “Request New Account.”
Q: Where can I find a list of currently active ETCTN trials?
A: Go to the CTSU website, log in with your CTEP-IAM credentials, and click on the “Protocols” tab. Expand the “ETCTN” folder in the left sidebar to see the list of Lead Academic Organizations (LAOs) within the ETCTN. Expand an LAO folder to see trials that are being led by that LAO; clicking on a protocol will bring up a list of other participating LAOs in the window at the right.
Q: How do I access ETCTN support services (including OPEN, the IRBManager at the CIRB website, or RSS)?
A: Please see the ETCTN Infrastructure page for links to and brief descriptions of these support services.
